Anjani’s latest album, “Blue Alert” was co-written with Leonard Cohen.

“She has this capacity -- melody after melody -- to hit the mark. Not go beyond it and not fall short...just perfect."
Who is your favourite designer?
“I usually wear MaxMara with a few vintage pieces mixed in.”
What’s your biggest fashion pet peeve?
“Expensive clothes with poor craftsmanship and the lack of size 9.5 shoes.”
What does the word “Style” mean to you?
“Discomfort and anxiety.”
What do you think is the one CD/album everyone should own?
“Blue Alert”.
What’s the one item you cannot leave home without?
“Leonard.”
Would you describe yourself as high or low maintenance?
“All human beings are high maintenance.”
How do you stay in shape?
“Rationing.”
If you could attempt any career other than your own, what would it be?
“Painter.”
What is your most prized material possession?
“My piano. I couldn’t work without it.”
What is your favourite travel destination?
“Bed.”
Where have you not been that you would love to go?
“Prince Edward Island.”
When you have spare time, how do you like to spend it?
“On a massage table.“
Who do you most admire?
“My grandmother. She was a picture bride at the age of nineteen, who traveled from Okinawa to meet her future husband on the dock in Honolulu. She washed and ironed clothes for camp workers, sold flowers from a wheelbarrow, and raised seven children after my grandfather died of cancer. She was a beautiful, joyful spirit who lived an exemplary life.”

“Fondly.”
