The Webb Sisters
Charley Webb, 28 years old, and Hattie, three years her junior, grew up in Kent, England and began writing and playing music at an early age, learning instruments and singing in bands together. Charley took to the guitar, piano, sax, clarinet and drums and Hattie, the harp and piano. When they were teenagers, the pair began to give recitals all over the country, and played at, among others, charity functions, end-of-year parties, and played twice for Princess Anne and once for the Queen of England.
They recorded an album of their songs in Nashville Tennessee, Piece of Mind, and travelled between LA and London playing at gigs and parties, with Charley's guitar and Hattie's 22 string lap harp.
The girls signed a publishing deal with Windswept Pacific Publishing and then a record deal with Universal Records in the sunshine of Los Angeles, California. Heading back to London to make their second album, Daylight Crossing they recorded with legendary musicians Steve Gadd and Pino Palladino at London's Abbey Road and Sarm Hook End Studios. (Listen to all the songs from the album here.)
Check out the video for the single "I Still Here It" from Daylight Crossing.
And here is the making of the video for the single off the album, "Still The Only One."
Charley and Hattie have recorded a pro-peace song, ‘Fortune of Soldiers’, for a Judy Collins tribute record alongside Dolly Parton, Rufus Wainwright, Chrissy Hynde, and Shawn Colvin. The album Born To The Breed is due for release on Wildflower Records.

The sisters name a diverse range of musical influences including Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Sinead O’Connor, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley and the Indigo Girls. ("Stardom beckons for the Webb Sisters," femalefirst.com.)
It appears that the angels will be out in full force for this upcoming tour. How lucky we are to have such beautiful and gifted singers and musicians joining Leonard on stage!
